Grammar student selected for Youth4 Artic Expedition
Kalinda Palmer of Year 12 has been selected as one of a dozen young people from around the world to join the earthTeam whose aim is to highlight the impacts of global warming.
As a member of the earthTeam Kalinda joined The Youth4 Arctic Expedition and in September this year she travelled to Greenland for a week. The focus of trip is to gain knowledge and an appreciation of the fragile Arctic eco-system and to share this with the wider world. In Greenland the team was integral to an Imax film that will be used to publicise the main expedition which takes place in April 2016.
An important voice
With the possibility of going to Singapore in November to show the film and speak as part of the Indochine Green Week Singapore, and on to Paris in December for the launch of the Imax short film as part of the COOP Climate Conference, Kalinda has an exciting future and an important role to play.
