Kate Coghlan (’04) inspires current students to embrace Round Square
Grammar marked 20 years of involvement with Round Square with an inspiring Senior School assembly.
This week students had the opportunity to hear past student Kate Coghlan speak passionately about the long lasting influence that Round Square has had on her career and other Grammarians who were in or close to her Year level.
Kate left Grammar in 2004 and studied International Relations and Media/Journalism. Since graduating from university she has worked on Good Morning Australia, The Today Show, The Project, Insiders with the ABC, and is now Chief of Staff for the ABC News Division Melbourne.
Kate’s message was clear and inspiring, highlighting for current students the immense worth of engaging in the IDEALS of Round Square, especially community service. She shared anecdotes that so clearly support the Grammar ethos that you are more than your ATAR score.
