We are offering families of the Year 8 -11 students the opportunity to give their time to help make reusable sanitary kits for young girls in East Timor.
We are looking for students and parents who are keen to assist in the sewing and organising of the sanitary kits. There will be useful jobs for parents and students who can’t sew but we would also appreciate help from parents who can share their sewing talent.
What is Days for Girls? Every girl in the world deserves education, safety, and dignity. Days for Girls help girls gain access to quality sustainable feminine hygiene and awareness by direct distribution of sustainable feminine hygiene kits, by partnering with non-profit groups and organisations to raise awareness, and by helping communities around the world start their own programs. More information about the project can be found at http://www.daysforgirls.org/
