Early childhood is a unique and important time. The provision of opportunities for high quality educational experiences, in a continuous pre-school and early primary program, are vital. The Early Learning Centre at Ballarat Grammar provides this development in a specialist setting. The purpose-built facility creates a safe and challenging environment where pre-school children can play, grow and learn

Curriculum

The excitement and wonder of young children’s lives are central to the Early Learning Centre curriculum. All areas of development are nurtured in the carefully planned program – social and emotional growth - intellectual, language and physical development. Children’s self-confidence, independence and creativity are encouraged through a variety of active, positive and stimulating play experiences

Early literacy and numeracy, and skills of co-operation and exploration are provided for in the curriculum through daily experiences and activities. The Early Learning Centre curriculum is also enhanced by Art, Music, Library and Swimming programs, conducted by Grammar’s specialist staff. Cross-age interaction with primary children, and participation in the special events of the School, enriches the life of pre-school children
