EMPLOYMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
RESPONSIBILITIES OF TEACHING STAFF
For many years now, the School has been able to attract teaching staff of the highest calibre. Teaching professionals at the School provide a great deal of support and stimulation for one another. Support of the Round Square philosophy is expected
In addition to classroom teaching responsibilities, staff all take part in the pastoral care system. Junior School teachers are responsible for the welfare of children in their classes; in the Senior School all staff accept responsibility for a tutorial group within one of our twelve Houses. Boarding House duty is an experience recommended for all teaching staff
Staff also undertake rostered supervisory duties around the School and are involved in the School’s sporting program, coaching and supervising sports practices and games after school and on Saturdays
The School prides itself on the wealth of activities in its co-curricular program and teaching staff are expected to contribute to this
The whole of the School’s program operates within the Anglican ethos of the School, which all staff are expected to support. Attendance at weekly Chapel services is expected
Our Outdoor Education program involves teaching staff throughout the year
Significant events in the course of the School year, some of which occur on Saturdays or Sundays or in the evening, are expected to be attended by staff
