Art Scholarships

Art Scholarships will be held on 27th Feb, 2010 and are offered to students entering Years 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 in 2011.

Art Scholarships are available to students who can demonstrate a special aptitude and likely potential in the Art area. Awards may provide 15%, 25% or 50% of tuition fees through to the end of Year 12.

Opportunities are provided for students from Year 7 to Year 12 to participate in the following studio areas: drawing
  • Painting and Drawing
  • Life Drawing (VCE Only)
  • Ceramics
  • Woodcraft
  • Metalcraft
  • Sculpture
  • Print Making
  • Textiles
  • Photography – Digital Arts
  • Graphic Design

Art is a core subject from Year 7 to Year 9. In Year 10, students may study Units 1 and 2 of VCE Art.

At Years 11 and 12, students may choose to study one or more of the following VCE courses:

  • Art
  • Studio Art
  • Visual Communication and Design
  • Design and Technology

The Scholarship will be awarded as a result of an interview and drawing activity at the School on: 27th Feb, 2010.

Applicants will be expected to present samples of their creative of work at this interview.
