Performing Arts Scholarships
Performing Arts Scholarships (Drama) are offered to students entering Years 10 and
11 in 2011.
Performing Arts Scholarships are available to students demonstrating talent and the potential for a high level of involvement in the Performing Arts at Ballarat Grammar. Awards may provide 15% or 25% of tuition fees to the end of Year 12.
Opportunities to be involved in the Performing Arts at Ballarat Grammar are provided through class electives, VCE Drama and/or VCE Theatre Studies, School productions and specialist workshops. It is expected that Performing Arts Scholarship holders will take every opportunity to extend their experience of the Performing Arts and participate in School productions.
The Scholarships will be awarded as a result of an audition and interview at the School on:
Saturday 27th Feb, 2010
Applicants will be expected to present a set audition piece provided by the School and participate in some improvisation tasks on the day.
Applicants should bring to the audition:-
A portfolio presenting experience to date in the performing arts. This portfolio may include photographs, programs, sketches of events and activities that students have been involved in, diagrams of costumes, masks, puppets, etc, that students have made.
