Outstanding results from our 2008 cohort
Results show an outstanding performance by this year’s large and active Year 12 cohort, with boys and girls sharing the honours almost equally.
Significant features include:- 38% of students received ENTER scores over 90
- Median ENTER of 85
- Highest ENTER of 99.4 and a “perfect score” of 50 in Literature, and the equivalent of this in University of Melbourne Art History
- Other high achievers include 98.95 (with 50 in Further Mathematics), 98.95, and 98.9 (with 50 in Theatre Studies)
Perfect scores of 50 across six studies including:
- Design and Technology, Psychology, Further Math, Physical Education, Theatre Studies, English Literature.
For their 2008 studies the following students received Premier’s VCE Awards:
- Imogen, Design Technology
- Joseph, Literature
- Lucy, Agricultural and Horticultural Studies
- Hannah, Agricultural and Horticultural Studies
- Lachlan, Physical Education
- Sally, Agriculture and Horticultural Studies
- Meg, Theatre Studies
These Awards were presented on Tuesday 21 July 2009 at 10.30am at the new Melbourne Convention Centre. Students, their families, their teachers and the Headmaster Stephen Higgs proudly attended the ceremony. Dr Alan Ford‘s students in Agricultural and Horticultural Studies have won 25 Premier’s Awards over the last 11 years.
University Entrance for Grammar students is outstanding with 85% receiving their 1st or 2nd preference.
Ballarat Grammar students achieve outstanding academic results and the school is proud of their achievements.
