Cross Country and Lap of the Lake
Ballarat Grammar’s Cross Country team participated in the final Ballarat Associated School’s (BAS) race of the season on Wednesday 2nd September. With the sun trying to shine, the students battled against cold winds as they completed the 4km course (juniors) and 6km course (intermediates and seniors). But, undeterred by the cool conditions and pumped up by Mr Beechey’s pre-race inspiration, the team turned in outstanding results.
Congratulations to the team for their performances throughout the cross country season and a huge thank you to Mr Beechey for all his coaching and administrating efforts this year and also to Ms. Menhennet for assisting him.
If students are interested in being involved in cross country running at Ballarat Grammar next year, they are welcome to talk to Mr Beechey, Ms Menhennet or Mrs Simpson about training programs, club contacts etc. It is also important to note that students do not have to be members of the representative team to train with the team - all students are welcome!

Early Learning Centre curriculum reflections
Intending to spend some time outdoors in the relative cool of the morning (and before the descent of the predicted heat), we started our session with a walk on the oval. What a delightful surprise to see the sprinklers beckoning us from afar! Needless to say, resistance was useless and we found ourselves enjoying an almost forgotten pastime of running under the sprinkler!

A story in "Kit's Garden". watching workmen put up a marquee and then... an icy surprise!

"Look it's our Kinder tent!" said the children as they workmen put up a recognised the School logo - such a wonderful sense of belonging!
