From Horsham to the National Stage – Maggie Caris’ Netball Journey

Former Horsham Saints netballer Maggie Caris has capped off a remarkable season with the Melbourne Vixens, celebrating a thrilling one-goal victory in the Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final held at the start of August.

Maggie has long been a standout talent, choosing to pursue netball ahead of a promising AFLW career. Elevated to the Vixens’ main squad in April, she embraced her first season as a full-time player.

She credited the Vixens’ midseason reset and strong team connection for their underdog success.

Reflecting on the journey, she said it was special to share the moment with her family and the Wimmera community who have supported her since her Saints premiership days.
