In Memory of life Governor Bob Bath

Our community mourns the passing of Life Governor Bob Bath on 9 September.

A former Olympian (1956, Boxing), Bob joined the staff in 1958 and went on to serve as Sports Master, while also contributing to outdoor education, boarding, and the development of the School grounds.

His passion for the arts earned him the title of the School’s unofficial Art Broker, and in recognition of his service the R.G. Bath Swimming Centre was named in his honour shortly before his retirement in 1995.

Beyond Grammar, Bob made significant contributions to the Ballarat community through Riding for the Disabled and the Art Gallery of Ballarat. His legacy is one of service, loyalty, and deep commitment.
