Remembering Father Peter Treloar

Fr. Peter Treloar, died peacefully on Friday 8 August, surrounded by his wife Jayne, son Stephen (OG 2011), and brother Richard.

Fr. Peter joined Ballarat Grammar in 2005 as School Chaplain and served our community with care and devotion for many years. He provided comfort and guidance to students, staff, and families, and his leadership in Chapel shaped the spiritual life of the School. A gifted writer and musician, Fr. Peter penned many of our much-loved hymns and delivered countless addresses that challenged, inspired, and uplifted those who heard them.

Alongside his chaplaincy, he taught Religion, Philosophy & Ethics and shared his love of music through the Performing Arts Faculty.

His legacy of faith, service, and creativity will remain with us always.
