Rising Football Talent Signs with Newcastle Jets

Joshua Ruzeu (2025) has signed with A-League club Newcastle Jets, marking an exciting step in what is already shaping as a very promising football journey.
An attacking midfielder, Joshua enjoyed an outstanding season with Geelong Soccer Clubs Under-17 NPL side under the coaching of Gary Harper. Finishing the season as the team’s leading scorer, Joshua claimed the Division 1 Golden Boot with 12 goals, a testament to his attacking instinct, pace, and ability to influence games.
What makes Joshua’s achievement even more impressive is the dedication behind it. A Boarder from Daylesford, he travelled to Geelong three evenings a week for training while completing his Year 12 studies, a commitment that speaks volumes about his determination and work ethic.
Joshua will now begin the next chapter of his football career with the Newcastle Jets’ renowned youth academy, where he will continue to develop his talent in a professional environment.
